Enhancing Access to E-books | Harker & Sassen | Evidence Based Library and Information Practice.
OK, this is a shameless plug, but it’s my blog and I can do what I want with it. This is the culmination of about 18 months of work with Catherine Sassen, Senior Cataloger at UNT Libraries. We examined the effects of extended cataloging (specifically tables of contents and keyword summaries) on usage of ebooks.
A little bragging, but apparently we are “hot”, at least according to my feed-reader, Feedly. Here’s how it looks to me:
We are both happy that the article was accepted & published by EBLIP, which has a good reputation and is open-access. I liked being able to utilize my education & skills garnered from both my recent “careers” – librarianship & public health.
